Collaborative Healthcare Event

This year’s Collaborative Healthcare Event will take place on April 18th, 2013 from 5:30-7:30pm in STSS 330. Space is limited to 125 students, so please RSVP to the link by Sunday, April 14th.

Are you interested in a health profession? Come learn about all types of healthcare professions at the 4th Annual Collaborative Healthcare event. Increasingly, the US health care system calls for collaboration between professions to provide care for patients. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other practitioners need to join forces to provide the best care for the patient. The goal of the Collaborative Healthcare event is to bring together all pre-professional student groups to learn about the perspective each profession brings to the healthcare team and about collaborative practice strategies.

At the event students will have the opportunity to:
1. EAT FREE MESA PIZZA FOR DINNER!
2. Hear a presentation from keynote speaker Dr. Steve Miller. Dr. Miller is currently works as the chief medial officer and executive vice president of Express Scripts Insurance.
3. Work through a complex case study in teams with other pre-health students and a panel of professionals. The panel will include representatives from medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, public health and more!

Do not miss out on this great opportunity to learn about the healthcare field!
